It is really hard to make terrible fresh rolls, but, as it turns out, it is not hard to make bad ones. At first blush, these were luscious, juicy looking fresh rolls with peanut sauce of the right hue and a healthy sprig of cilantro. When you get under the hood though? No crunch and narry a carrot to be seen. The result was a generic roll with a gummy, sticky mouthfeel. If I want that, I would eat noodles (which I don't, which is why I don't).
